5 Tips to Add Volume To Your Hair

If you are gifted by nature with soft, shiny, thick and volumized hair then you probably don’t need to read further. You already are a happy fulfilled human being and all your dreams will come true. This post is for people – like me – who struggle all the time to get a little more volume in their hair. And that will last more than 3 hours after hair washing.
So now to the tips for healthy-thin-hair carrier.

1. Conditioner is your enemy.

The Reverse Washing Tip

Now this is one of the best tips ever:
shampoo first and conditioner next? Absolutely NOT.
It was such a suprise to find out that
using conditioner before the shampoo is so much better for my thin
hair. Which won’t look like lifeless worms after the washing (such a nice comparison!)
2. A little help before the blow-dry.

The Spray Tip

Your hair is clean and damp after the
towel. So now to the creative part. How to achieve a little more
volume while blow-drying? With a hair diffuser and a volumizing spray. You’ll find lots of options,
pay attention that they aren’t sticky. Right now my favourite is the Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray. The name is everything.
The price as well. (More on that on point 5).
3. Let’s fix-it-up.

The Texture Tip

Hair is now dry. And we won’t use a hair
straightner, of course. We want to achieve a beach-waves-effect that
creates much more volume than straight hair. How to preserve the effect during the day? A great help comes from this Matrix StyleLink Texture Builder. I love this product, it really can does a good job with the messy hair effect.
4. Holy Dry Shampoo.

The Second Day Tip

Perfect hair, perfect day. And then
comes the night, the bed, the pillow. And hello next morning with limp
hair again. But no. With a little help of a dry shampoo the second
day will shine bright as well. And maybe even the third. But don’t tell anyone: “I
washed my hair yesterday”, is always the correct answer.
5. An Alternative to Dry Shampoo.

The Tip that will cost you like a fancy dinner

I’ve read so many aaahhh and ooohhs and
wonderful things and posts about Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray on US and UK blogs that I purchased one for myself (yes,
product placement does work on me). So? The packaging is absolutely
great. Which is a basic requirement for a hair product (?). And it
smells divine. And when I say divine, I mean I can’t imagine my hair
smelling any better than this. Which is also basic requirement (?).
But what does it really do? Not much more than a dry shampoo, a freshen-up and
some more volume for your hair. And yes I was forgetting: the price is about 40
Euro (oh yes!). So you won’t buy it ever again? I will! I
can’t imagine my life without this spray on my shelf and its smell on
my hair EVER AGAIN. So unneccessary. But so necessary.
Oribe hair products are expensive but look and feel luxury. So be
careful, if you jump on the Oribe wagon there’s no turning back. And
no eating out for the next month.

  1. Io appartengo a quelle con chioma voluminosa..e non ne sono ( ovviamente) felice. Il mio desiderio? Lisci e piatti, invece no!!!devo lavarli e dopo alcune ore stirarli, altrimenti restano stile Tina Turner.

  2. Capelli mosci eccomi qua!
