10 Skincare Tips for a Better Skin

These are 10 skincare rules I’ve learned through years that have really worked for me to get better skin.
1. Lukewarm water, please!
When washing your face remember not to use too warm or too cold water.
Thermal shock isn’t good for your skin.
2. I found him, the right cleanser
If your skin feels dry after using your cleanser, this might be not the right cleanser for you. Even if you have oily skin washing out and drying out all your natural skin oils might cause the exact contrary and let your skin become even more oily.
Your skin should always feel moisturized even after your cleanse.
3. No Scrub
“No, I don’t want no scrubs” sang TLC in the 90s (in case you remember the song!). Of course they were not talking about face scrub.
But I agree face scrubs never work for me. I prefer chemical exfoliation. But in case a good scrub works for you please keep it to once a week or you may cause micro-abrasions to your skin.
4. I will always love you… SPF
I’ll never get tired to tell you. SPF is your skin saviour and first anti-ageing.
Always use moisturizer or foundation with SPF 20 or higher. In Winter too!
5. Give me your eyes (contour)!
Wrinkles start from there, from our eye contour area. So it’s important to start using the right product as soon as possible.
6. Oh, I’ve got a neck!
Our neck, a part of our face we seem to forget we have.
The products you use on your face you should use them on your neck too.
7. The right products for the right skin type
Sounds obvious but if you have been using a product to fight dry skin and your skin is still dry after months of use than this is not the right product for you.
You should give products a try for about a month or a little more, if really nothing good happens than it’s better to change them!
8. Moisturize, moisturize. And moisturize.
Do I need to say more?
It’s our key to (skin) success.
For oily and impure skin as well, trust me.
9. Eating healthy makes your skin healthy
Yes it does.
So you have another good reason to do it.
10. To copy is allowed this time
If you find a friend (or a blogger as well!) that has similar skin you yours (and maybe age) and that advised a good product that worked for you maybe you can rely on her for skincare advices.
I’m always happy to find a matching-skin-twin.
