Frankie Morello‘s AW 2011-12 Collection is ironically Fifties inspired. The “perfect hoesewife” becomes a rockabilly-girl with masculine cutted coats or suits or a pin-up-girl with volume-wide and siren skirts. The most interesting detail? Hundreds of golden hairdresser’s clips (applied by hand!) on skirts and T-shirts (see photos below). Is it going to become a new DIY trend?

Quella di Frankie Morello è una collezione che si ispira ironicamente agli anni Cinquanta. Dove la “perfetta mogliettina” si trasforma in una rockabilly-girl con cappotti e completi dal taglio maschile e giacche college oppure in una pin-up-girl dalle gonne ampie e lunghe a sirena. Il dettaglio che più colpisce (e più mi ha colpita) sono i becchi da parrucchiera d’oro applicati (a mano!) su gonne, corpetti e T-shirt (nelle foto qui sotto). Che diventi la nuova ispirazione per futuri DIY?
